Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Automation Testing Engineer to join our dynamic team at Acuity Software Technologies. As an Automation Testing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through the design, development, and execution of automated test scripts. This position is ideal for individuals who possess a strong background in software testing, automation tools, and a passion for delivering high-quality software products.

The candidate will be responsible for software testing design, planning, scripting, execution and testing of Windows and Web applications and will work closely with software development team throughout the project. The individual should have a strong understanding of QA lifecycle and methodology.

Job Description

Collaborate with business analyst, developers, and quality assurance teams to understand software requirements and design comprehensive test plans.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, and desktop applications using industry-standard testing tools and frameworks.
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard automation tools and frameworks.
Implement and execute automated tests to validate system functionality, performance, and reliability.
Configure and set up test environments to simulate real-world scenarios.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure proper integration of automated tests into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
Participate in the identification and prioritization of test cases for automation, considering risk, impact, and test coverage.
Troubleshoot and analyse test failures, providing detailed reports and collaborating with developers to resolve issues.
Contribute to the creation and maintenance of test data, test environments, and testing tools.
Stay current with industry trends and advancements in test automation methodologies and tools.
Propose and implement improvements to the existing automation framework and testing processes.

Desired Skills:

Proven experience as an Automation Tester or in a similar role.
Strong programming skills in Ruby, Java, JavaScript, C#, Python.
Experience with automation testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality deliverables
ISTQB or other relevant certifications would be a plus

Qualification:

Candidates must be B.Tech, BSc or MSc, preferred in Computers Application.

Experience:

3 to 5 years
